General Services of the Chamber

  1. Accrediting Certificates and documents; Certificate of Origin and credentials of individuals and enterprises.
  2. Arranging meetings and workshops.
  3. Coordinating with ministries and other institutions to facilitate topics related to the members.
  4. Enhancing Entrance permits to Israel to members.
  5. Setting up commercial, industrial, and Agricultural Financial Holdings, Markets and Exhibitions.
The Chamber of commerce, industry and agriculture holds the responsibility from the moment of its establishment and began improving the situation of farmers, merchants and factory owners. It carried out many projects to develop the local economy despite of the Israeli obstacles.

The efforts of the Chamber can not be denied on all the levels as it could transfer Qalqilia from an area to an independent district and this step was followed by the opening all the official departments in the city. In addition to this, the Chamber shared from its own budget in equipping some of these offices.

Another important achievement of the Chamber was establishing Zakat (ALMS) Committee with the support of Qalqilia citizens' abroad so as to:

  1. Finance school fees for poor pupils.
  2. Finance university fees for poor students.
  3. Provide cash assistance for poor families.
  4. Offering material assistance to Palestinian prisoners in Israeli Jails.
From the other side, the Chamber helped many committees in their cultural, social and scientific activities as it provided the place to practice their activities.
The Chamber also witnessed social and economical activities of other associations and committees.
Finally, Qalqilia district lived a very dark and long period under the Israeli occupation and paid an expensive price so as to protects our nationality and Zionists. Now, we dream of a place under the sun to build a future of the city and its people and look foreword towards our independent state.
