The Chamber’s Financial Resources:
The JCCIA is a non – profit organization that enjoys a moral status and financial independence. Registration fees and subscriptions of the General Assembly from the main source to the Chamber. The law allowed the Chamber to invest its financial resources in project and real estate to contribute to improving its status and financial position. The JCCIA may accept gifts, endowments and donations whether financially or contributions in kind. In general, the JCCIA financial resources as follows:
Income resources:
- Registration fees and membership subscriptions.
- Services performed by the Chamber specially issuing and certifying different kinds of documents.
- Training courses fees organized by the Chamber.
- Grants and aids received to help in specific fields inside the Chamber.
Expenditures:
- Salaries, wages and saving provident funds for the employees of the Chamber.
- Stationery.
- Telecommunication and advertisements.
- General maintenance.
- Electricity and water consumption.
- Donations paid for social assistance and welfare.
Present and future objectives of Jericho Chamber of Commerce:
- The Chamber is doing its utmost to have an almost new base of information about the commercial, industrial, service and agricultural activities in the Governorate of Jericho to be sound basis for studies, to help draw the development policies and plans, and to be available for use by researchers and policy makers.
- The uniqueness of the Governorate of Jericho as it is the oldest city in the world and it is the lowest city in the world, its tropical location, its abundant the availability of historical sites and fertile land give it a tremendous opportunity for vast growth and development. Thus the strategy of the Chamber is to focus on development and accelerate the growth of both tourism and agriculture sectors.
- Creating a favorable business environment especially for tourism and agriculture sectors.
- Promoting the Jericho uniqueness internationally and link it with other tourism areas in Palestine.
- Encouraging the development of agro-business and tourist related industries.
- Enhancing the role of the Chamber in promoting regional cooperation, with Jordan and the rest of the Arab countries.
- Creating business- links and encourage partnership projects and joint venture.
